Nineteen in the Great War of 1914-1919 and one in 1939-1945
The memorial is a stone tablet in St Margaret's Church, Stow cum Quy, about 120cm tall by 170 cm wide, the lettering is incised, with the dedication in the centre saying
IN GLORY EVERLASTING
TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF
THE MEN OF QUY WHO GAVE THEIR
LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918
AND IN THE WAR 1939-1945
The names are in date order of death
Also, now in the Village Hall, but formerly in the Wesleyan Chapel, a nowy headed white marble tablet by George Gilkes. The inscription is in back lettering. A wreath carved at the top centre.
